September Paris Vlog

Fall just passed me by.

Hi friends,

I spent Halloween weekend editing, voice recording, and adding the finishing touches on my very first vlog from Paris. The Youtube space is a new one for me, so I found the vlogging process to be unfamiliar, overwhelming, and a bit chaotic. A combination of over-thinking and procrastination were the leading causes to my relatively late vlog since I arrived in Paris over two months ago. I suppose the first try at anything is an attempt at best. Perfection doesn’t exist anyways.

After going through over two hours of video that I shot during the month of September, I cut everything down to a little over one hour. There were a lot of highs and lows during my first month abroad and I felt that it was important to show the reality of things not just the dreamy moments that most people might think of when living in Paris. In the end, I stayed up till 4am on a Saturday night doing last minute voice overs for the vlog which of course made me sick and congested the next day. Never again will I stay up so late to finish something that really isn’t worth getting sick over.

Overall, I hope you enjoy watching my latest vlog and do let me know if you have any questions. I plan on doing a Q&A video about studying abroad in France soon and I’d love to know what burning inquires you might have.

As always, thank you for taking the time to follow along and if anything, I hope my vlog gives you a little piece of joy.
